Butterfly Tenergy 64
The Long distance looping rubber Tenergy 64s home page.
butterfly tenergy 64 rubbers
T64 is known as the "speed effect" rubber.
Tenergy 64's speed
With the speed rating by butterfly at 13.5, it is only 0.5 slower than the fastest rubber Bryce Speed 14. Everyone says its very dynamic in how quick it works in a number of broader gears. Some even defy Butterfly the company and say it is faster than Bryce Speed. It has that butterfly punch feeling even though it leans a touch more toward the loop side.
Korea vs Chile butterfly tenergy users
The final game in the semi finals Chile vs Korea at the Brisbane table tennis centre Brisbane Open 2010. They both use Tenergy. Bruno uses tenergy 64 and Jo Doc tenergy 05. I wish I got more of this on film. I think this semi final was much more interesting then the final with Bruno vs William Henzell, which I will post one of these days.
Timo Boll beat Ma Long World Team Championships 2010
Ma Long won the first two games only to lose the next three games. China is packing it now! It has been a while since I have seen Boll beat Ma Long but it was worth the wait. Totally amazing match. Ma Long didn't look as pumped as he usually is probably because he was making more errors than he usually does. The fifth set was so dramatic!
World table tennis championships moscow Ma Long vs Jun Mizutani
One of the best matches I have ever seen Jun Mizutani play. His defense work and countering work are just sensational against the Ma Long monster at the 2010 Table Tennis
Championships in Moscow. Both these boys are using Butterfly tenergy 64 on their blades. Mizutani uses it on both sides and Ma Long has it on his backhand.
After the match, Liu Guoliang said he was satisfied with the play against Japan who has uprisen as one of China's close rivals.
"I have faith and confidence in my team and each player," he said. "Talking about the upcoming final match, I can't say who exactly will play. My choice depends on the opponent we will face tomorrow."
different strokes
Different strokes have a variety of different outcomes for your opponents. Some equipment has more logical or consistant results. Tenergy 05 has very logical results and is very stable. It does what you expect it more often than other rubbers. Tenergy 64 is more dynamic with the same stroke being much more varied depending on the incoming ball and how much you hit into it. For Example, to make it clear, the extreme case of doing the same stroke but getting different outcomes can be seen when using long pimples.
Looping Heavy Underspin with Tenergy
Interesting web site. Just discovered it. I am a mid 1900's player and have used Tenergy 05 and then 64 for a couple years now (same on both sides). I like, need and want the built-in speed glue effect but sometimes find Tenergy a bit "hard" (all versions) and difficult to slow-loop with or loop with in general (against underspin that is) w/o much force behind the ball. Topspin looping and re-looping is all good but heavy chops/pushes are often difficult to lift b/c of the sponge hardness and the fact that the ball leaves the paddle quickly with short dwell time, etc.
Timo Boll Spirit
So as I promised myself after the Queensland state closed I was finally going to really try to switch off from my beloved Butterfly Ishlion.
Yes I love the Ishlion, but I feel I really want get more spin into my game and the Timo Boll Spirit has been on my mind for so long! I tried a Timo Boll ALC about a year ago but I gave up on it too quickly and went straight back to my Ishion. I think the added weight and dwell bugged me with my then unmoving love of tenergy 05 so much that I would only use a blade that played best with tenergy 05.
