table tennis rubber

Rubber

This is a more objective analysis of table tennis rubber. This is slightly different to the word "review." Every time a post is created and tagged with rubber it will appear in this list.

spin art pips and sponge

spin art pips and sponge
What else to say about the pips and sponge of tenergy 05 vs butterfly's new Spin Art? Spin art is less dense with its pips. This makes it play softer although the sponge is harder.
This picture comes from "silver" also know by his real name: Dan - who up keeps the most comprehensive table tennis database about rubber density on the internet.

Wow Love it!

Tenergy 05 FX pack shot

It looks so dam cool, and it soft and more flexible with more control as they say anyway.  I can't wait to get the Butterfly tenergy 05 fx version!
Butterfly Tenergy 05 FX comes out in JULY 2010!
I just received this from Yuki Kamizuru sent a message
Dear devoted table tennis fan,
The packshot of T05FX, that is being shown on your web, is unfortunately not the right one

butterfly tenergy 64 rubbers

T64 is known as the "speed effect" rubber.

Tenergy 64's speed

With the speed rating by butterfly at 13.5, it is only 0.5 slower than the fastest rubber Bryce Speed 14. Everyone says its very dynamic in how quick it works in a number of broader gears.  Some even defy Butterfly the company and say it is faster than Bryce Speed.  It has that butterfly punch feeling even though it leans a touch more toward the loop side.

A fresh look at Tenergy 05 confusion?

So Tenergy 05 Admin or let's call him Boz as more than half the table tennis players do, asked me recently to write a fresh review about tenergy 05 specifically.  I really wondered exactly what I can say about tenergy 05 that hasn't already been said.  Especially because he said he wanted to create a new very clear category that doesn't focus on all the tenergy family.  He said it must be very, veryclear: "could you write a clear new categorical heading that will specifically target tenergy 05 and not the other spring sponge versions out by Butterfly?"

Is neoprene rubber sheets the same as the sponge in Vega pro?

Is neoprene rubber sheets the same as the sponge in Vega pro?
Vega Pro sponge maybe actually called neoprene.   If anyone knows about neoprene could you tell us?

thicker = more spin and speed, thinner more control

Who uses Butterfly Timo Boll ALC with Tenergy 05?

Timo Boll uses Butterfly Timo Boll ALC with Tenergy 05, cute advertising. Butterfly must pay him a lot of money. I wonder how much they pay him. Any way it is a bit off topic, but Timo Boll must be one of the richest table tennis players ever right?

Tenergy 05 FX weight is lighter than t05

Tenergy 05 FX weight is lighter than t05
Thanks to High_Arc over at Mytabletennis.net, this picture of Tenergy 05 FX shows that it is 65 grams precut (black sheet was 66 grams). So when it is cut to a butterfly head shape it will be about 43-44 grams a fraction lighter than tenergy 64.  These were the heaviest out of 5 sheets,  so there is a chance we might get the cut weight down to about 42g which then a very average European rubber weight!

What does Tenergy do for your game?

I thought it might be interesting for people to contribute how using Tenergy has made a a difference to their games.
